Red Wolves are one of 11 endangered species at the Trevor Zoo. There are less than 270 Red Wolves in the world, mostly at AZA accredited facilities like ours and a small population in the wild in North Carolina

The Trevor Zoo, a member of the AZA since 1989, is the only zoo in the world located at a high school. About 75 members of the student body care for the animals on a daily basis—more than 160 animals from 70 species, 11 of which are endangered. It’s a one of a kind living-laboratory that provides incredible responsibility and rewards students with a learning experience unlike any other.
