Millbrook Girls win big at home, 23-35!

Ms. Havard
It was another stunning fall Saturday for racing, this time on Millbrook's challenging home course against the Frederick Gunn School. At the mile mark, half-way up our notorious ski hill, Juliet Drury '24 was already well in the lead, and she flew through the course in 21:42, more than two minutes ahead of the next finisher. This is a PR for Drury on our course and may be a course record for Millbrook girls - checking this at writing time!  Two strong runners from Frederick Gunn finished 2nd and 3rd, closely followed by Sarah Eagen '24 in 24:50; Eagen left everything out on the course.  After that, it was all Millbrook, with Hannah Coon '23 (her PR on the course), Aiden Corbin '24, and newcomer Angelina Huang '24 taking 5-7th respectively, which cemented the win for Millbrook.  Eliza Withers-Clarke '23 took 9th overall, battling hard, and Tracy Yin '24 completed her first race to round out the field for Millbrook.  Clearly, our ski-hill workout this week built our confidence on one of the toughest hills in New England!  The hills pay the bills!  Millbrook thanks Frederick Gunn for their great spirit and appreciation of our course. We had a great day.
