Sports Broadcasting at Millbrook School
The livestreaming of sports has become commonplace at Millbrook, making it possible for families to see their student athletes and for coaches and college scouts to get to know Mustang standouts. Beginning with ice hockey, Adam Beck ’22, JD Whiting, and Charlie Kaye combined their love of sports with their love of Millbrook and provided in-game live commentating to the streams. Due to pandemic restrictions on large gatherings, students on campus were not allowed to gather to cheer on their teams so the broadcasts became a vital way of keeping students connected with their teams. JD and Charlie summed up their experiences and called on future broadcasters to carry the program forward.
