Social Worker
Alexis Davis is a social worker with over twenty years of experience helping patients in a variety of settings, including partial programs, residential treatment, and outpatient therapy.
After leaving Millbrook, she studied psychology and sociology at Dickinson College in Pennsylvania. She worked in an acute treatment center for children for several years before pursuing a master’s degree in social work at Boston College.
She left residential work to begin working for an innovative program, providing guidance to pediatricians managing mental health and behavioral trouble in children. Fifteen years ago, she discovered a passion for parent guidance and is now employed part-time as an outpatient therapist and supervisor at Tufts Medical Center, along with running a part-time parent guidance consultation practice.
She is challenged to “practice what she preaches” in raising her two active boys.
