I wanted to go to Richmond because of how beautiful the campus is and how hardworking the students are. I’m excited about the chance to study something I truly enjoy and give myself the opportunity to have a career in a field that interests me. Millbrook prepared me for college by teaching me how to be responsible. While I was there, I learned to be more independent and manage my time. I’ll miss the small school size and relationships I had with teachers.

Whether dissecting his last golf round or discussing his findings from his Independent Science Research project on the effect of blue light glasses, Lucas deeply cares about understanding and application. What I respect most about Lucas is that he flies a bit under the radar, continuing his tenacious efforts not because he wants the spotlight but because it is the right thing to do. This is also a testament to Lucas’ ability to balance his many endeavors beyond academics, and it is the reason I know he will have success moving forward.
