  Bio

  Born and raised in Beijing, China, Zhaohong received her undergraduate teaching degree from Capitol Normal University in Beijing and earned a Masters in Communication Management from Simmons College, Boston. Zhaohong has taught at charter schools in Massachusetts, and at public and international schools in Beijing. Zhaohong joined Millbrook School in 2021. She is one of Millbrook’s International Student Coordinators, Interim Chair of the World Languages Department, and a Mandarin Chinese teacher. She is the mother of two current Millbrook students. 

   

  As International Student Coordinator, Zhaohong loves making close connections with Millbrook's international students, listening to their stories, helping them to solve problems. She is also a regular point of contact for parents and families of international students. Zhaohong meets regularly with students, sharing meals and tea, celebrating birthdays and holidays, as well as assisting to organize cultural actives, including Lunar New Year and World Culture Food Festival. Zhaohong knows the experience of being far away from family and home and takes care to build a supportive community among international student at Millbrook.

  Bio

  Annabella was born in Caracas, Venezuela. She attended an international school, Escuela Campo Alegre, where she was fully immersed with international students from a young age. She obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business and Trade, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. She studied languages in Florence, Italy, and attained a Masters in Business Administration. She recently studied Pedagogy and Mind Brain Education with a concentration on Languages.

   

  Annabella has lived in South America, Europe, and North America. Her mother is Italian and her father is Peruvian. She travels extensively with her three children and husband around the world, as she firmly believes that global exposure is paramount toward a well-rounded education.

   

  Annabella is passionate about teaching students Spanish and supporting international students. She has taught Spanish 3, Spanish 5, AP Spanish Language, and AP Spanish Literature. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys helping create international events such as the World Festival at Millbrook.
