Boys Soccer Plays to OT in New England Semi-Finals

Post-season play continued as the boys varsity soccer notched a resounding 4-0 shutout of #6 ranked Concord Academy in the NEPSAC quarterfinals on Wednesday, November 15. The game was played at Berkshire, a neutral location chosen because of the distance between Millbrook and Concord.

Francis Bonsu '25 set the tone with an early goal, one of two for him on the day, setting the tone and foreshadowing a display of nearly unanswerable offensive might by the Mustangs. Ross Ezrow '26 contributed two goals and the brothers Jackson, Chase '24, and Carter '26 assisted. Firing on all cylinders, the Mustangs deployed purposeful ball movement and a chaotic defense that allowed few opportunities for the Chameleons to test Zach Herman '24 between the pipes. Fan buses made the drive to the Mountain and the match was well-attended by the Mustang faithful and faculty past and present.

With the win, Millbrook advanced to the semi-final game against St. Andrew's on Saturday, November 18 at St. Andrew's in Barrington, Rhode Island. Facing a formidable Saints squad and with the match tied at the end of regulation, the Mustangs steeled themselves for overtime. The deadlock held through a first overtime and into a second, when St. Andrew's struck, ending the Mustangs' post-season run. The season record of 14-3-2 speaks for itself and with a solid group of young players, the future is bright.
