Clinical Psychologist, Pratt Institute & Private Practice
Dr. Jung Eun Kim (she/her) is a psychologist at Pratt Institute’s Counseling Center where she provides therapy for college and graduate students and supervises psychology doctoral students in clinical training. She also has a part-time private practice for adolescents and adult clients of all ages. Prior to Pratt, she worked in various settings including hospitals, clinics, and schools. She has extensive experience supporting clients with a range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relational difficulties, trauma, racial and cultural identities, and questions regarding sexuality and gender.
Jung Eun received her PhD in counseling psychology from Columbia University, where she also served as an adjunct professor. Her research there focused on multicultural issues relating to mental health, including racial bias in assessment, psychological impact of racial discrimination, and promotion of social justice in training. Her experiences starting as an international student from South Korea at Millbrook and subsequently as an immigrant putting down permanent roots in the U.S. have deeply informed her research and clinical approach.
