Mustangs Battle Back but Fall Short

The Lady Mustangs made the short trip to Kent, CT to take on the Lions of Kent. In a very hard fought, back and forth contest, Kent capitalized on a free kick late in the game to seal the victory. The coaches credit the team to not given in after spotting Kent an early 2 goal lead. But with 9:30 minutes left in the first half, Audrey Lepore streaked down the right side and served the ball into the box wear Estee O'Brien one timed her shot by Kent's keeper. It would only take 6 minutes more for Millbrook to get the equalizer off of a corner kick; Maura Terry took the corner and Jazmin Mejia technically placed her shot into the back of the net. The girls had a number of great opportunities in the 2nd half but Kent's keeper kept the ball out of her net. Next up, Green Farms Academy.
