Small Team, Big Heart

Despite traveling with just 12 players, the Mustang manage to beat the spread.
Despite traveling with just twelve players to a match against a talented Indian Mountain School team—our second contest against the Falcons this year—the Mustangs managed to hold our opponent to fewer goals than they scored in our first meeting. Ignoring exhaustion, and helped in part by a strong performance by second-half goalie Lisette Lacroix, the Millbrook team held the Falcons to just two goals in the second half. The girls were tired and cold by the end of the game, and yet they smiled and seemed to feel accomplished. Their coaches were proud of the Millbrook team for playing with such heart and grateful to our opponent for their flexibility and excellent sportsmanship throughout the contest.
