We need to begin this post by thanking the Kent team for allowing us to play with ten on the field instead of eleven, and for being flexible about subbing rules. After sustaining two injuries, the Mustang squad was out of subs within the first few minutes of the second half. Despite this setback, the girls JV "socks" fought hard and limited their opponents to just three goals in the second half. Notable performances were turned in by Leah Frost and Analiah Fernandes, who both battled fiercely despite nagging injury and illness, Sophia Bortner, who maintained the same high level of intensity for the entire match, and Emily Goico, who made several aggressive saves. The girls stayed positive and continued to believe in themselves throughout the match, which is what true champions do.
