Drury wins race by a full minute; Hotchkiss and Canterbury best Millbrook overall

Coach Havard
Millbrook traveled to Hotchkiss on our Family Weekend to race the Bearcats and the Saints.  While the Mustangs were third overall, Juliet Drury '24 notched another first, and Sarah Eagen '24 took 7th in a talented field.
Drury continues to turn in impressive times, especially considering that she has yet to be legitimately challenged in a race this season. She ran a fast, controlled first mile and continued to open up space between her and the nearest challengers all race long, including on a steep hill towards the end of the second mile, and the long gradual climb on the third. Drury finished in 20:50, a full minute ahead of the next racer from Canterbury. Sarah Eagen '24 ran another gritty race, this time breaking up a pack of Hotchkiss runners to take 7th overall, in 23:58.  Next in for Millbrook was co-captain Hannah Coon '23, taking 17th overall in 25:42.  Aiden Corbin '24 took 24th, and Hailey Mesard, Angelina Huang, Tracy He, and Tracy Yin all had strong finishes on this tough course.  The Mustangs have a well-deserved rest this long weekend before resuming competition at Kent School next Saturday!
