Frederick Gunn School

It was a beautiful early fall day with perfect temperatures for running as Millbrook hosted the Frederick Gunn School. This event marked the season opener for the Mustangs, and Millbrook’s course was in great shape – and offered up some challenging terrain, as usual. Third former Ollie Fauver won the meet outright in a time of 20:59, and he bested the second place runner from Gunn by 13 seconds. Vincent He ran a strong, gutsy race, placed fourth overall, and helped the team immensely on the scoreboard. Sixth former Niklas Gradin churned out steady miles and secured a noteworthy and respectable fifth place finish. Rounding out the scoring for Millbrook was Dash Hoseth (7^th place, 23:56) and Peter Wilkie (9^th, 25:44). Millbrook won the meet vs Gunn in a close one, narrowly inching them out by a score of 26-30. Millbrook’s next race is Saturday, October 5^th, versus the Salisbury School and Frederick Gunn at Salisbury.
