Millbrook Girls Best Kent on their Home Course

First, second, fourth, fifth, ninth: Millbrook girls dominated Kent School on Millbrook's home course on Saturday, Oct. 19th. Andy Sassatelli crossed the mile mark a minute ahead of the field and continued to open her lead. At that early point in the race, Kent's 1 & 2 runners came next, signalling that the team competition would be tight. That was NOT the story Millbrook wanted to tell! Selina Hung steadily closed the gap over the second mile to move into second place overall, while Ingrid Schmitt and Jaicee Downs battled the second and third Kent runners all the way to the finish line, where they beat them to take 4th and 5th respectively.  Linna Du was Millbrook's 5th runner in 9th place overall, with Eloise Hegeman right behind her in 10th, and Anya Kelmanovich in 12th. It was a sweet victory for the team on our Family Weekend! Congratulations to Andy Sassatelli and Selina Hung for PR's on the course, with Andy breaking her own Millbrook girls record.  It's on to Berkshire this coming Saturday.
