Millbrook’s Independent Science Research course allows student scientists to explore their curiosity as they develop a hypothesis, design an experiment, and undertake a year-long research project in search of an answer. The Trevor Zoo, a stone’s throw from the Math and Science Center, provided a living laboratory for some high-level research while others mined the school community for data as they explored theories on sleep, stress, and smartphones.
A year’s worth of planning, research, and data analysis culminated in the 10th Annual Science Symposium, where Independent Science Researchers publicly present their findings.
