The Millbrook boys varsity soccer team is one of the longest standing and most successful sports programs in the history of the school. Throughout the last thirty-five years the team has won the Western New England (WNEPSSA) championship for our class fourteen times, and the New England (NEPSAC) championship six times, in 1997, 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, and 2018. The Mustangs have also finished as runner-up in the 1999, 2000, 2010, and 2017 New England finals. The team regularly competes in the prestigious eight-team New England tournament every November and has always represented Millbrook proudly. In 2022 Millbrook had the best league record and concluded their season in a tight semi-final game.
Yet, the program's winning ways are not the only benchmark for success. Millbrook's soccer players are typically multi-sport athletes who often work their way up through the program's junior varsity levels to join quality returning varsity players every year. The style of play is one of possession, one-touch passing, and movement without the ball.
For those players with aspirations for a higher level of play, Millbrook boasts one of the toughest, most competitive schedules in New England. Our longtime opponents and neighboring schools are some of the best sides on any level. In fact, most of these teams are from larger schools, but Millbrook matches, and often surpasses their quality of play. Players take pride in joining, extending, and writing their own chapter of the Millbrook soccer legacy. Go Mustangs!
