Mustangs Hold On Against Wyverns
The Mustangs headed to West Hartford on Saturday feeling confident about a win, yet the match unfolded a bit more unpredictably.
In the first round of matches, #8 Abby Swon '27 (exhibition), #4 Estee O'Brien '26, and #2 Skye Rockwell '25 started strong, setting the table for their teammates and providing an early 2-1 lead. In the next round of matches, #7 Nga Ho '26 and #3 Molly Jackson '25 finished the job to gain the edge over the Wyverns. Coming off an injury before the break, #1 Sadie Wilson '25, had a tough time getting back into a groove and lost to a talented player 3-0. No.'s 5 and 6, Finley Kennedy '25 and Sophie Banta '27, both had tough matches but showed signs of positive decision-making.
The Mustangs look to continue their winning ways next Wednesday against Ethel Walker.
