St. Luke's Unselfish Play Too Much for Mustangs
In the opening night of the Zero Gravity/New England Recruiting Report Prep Classic showcase, Class B foe St. Luke's proved to be too much for a Millbrook team that could not find the groove on their groove on the offensive or defensive end of the floor.
After jumping out to an 18-6 run in the first four minutes of the game, Millbrook was then outscored 23-6 to end the first half. Despite spurts of effort and energy by the Mustangs in the second half, St. Luke's hot shooting (13 3FG in the game) proved to be too much to overcome. Millbrook learned valuable lessons about the importance of team basketball throughout the tough defeat. The Mustangs look to bounce back tomorrow on the second day of the Prep Classic showcase against Power 5 Conference and NEPSAC AAA affiliate Knox School at 1:30 pm.
