Millbrook Pulls Away Early, Coasts to 3rd Win of the Season
In a game that saw every Mustang play and nine Mustangs score, Millbrook used an aggressive full-court attack and a late first-half 16-2 run to pull away from their Class B foe, Gunnery School. The decisive 64-41 win sends Millbrook into the winter break with a 3-4 record overall, and a 2-3 record in Class B. After jumping out to a 20-point halftime lead, the Millbrook coaching staff challenged the team to keep their foot on the gas pedal and the boys obliged, holding Gunnery to just 6 points in the first 5 minutes of the second half. Great contributions were made from the entire team, including 5 points and 3 rebounds from Ian Devine '19 and career highs in total points from Justinas Norkus '20 (9 points, 6 rebounds) and Charlie Weisberg '21 (11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 steals).
Congratulations to the Mustangs on their win and a special thank-you to all the family members who traveled up to Boston to cheer on Millbrook over the weekend. The Mustangs will be back in action on Wednesday, January 3rd when they travel to Hotchkiss to take on a very talented and well-coached Bearcat squad!
