In a game that saw multiple runs by both teams, Hotchkiss outlasted Millbrook to the tune of 74-59. Millbrook began the game as if they had been on break for the last two weeks, allowing Hotchkiss to jump out to a quick 15-1 lead. After a timeout, the Mustangs came roaring back, tying the game at 18 halfway through the first half. Hotchkiss then punched back behind a 2-3 zone, leading to a seven-point halftime lead for the Bearcats. The second half saw more of the same back and forth action between the two teams, until an 8-0 Hotchkiss run with four minutes left in the game proved too big of a deficit for Millbrook.
Millbrook saw moments of beautiful team-oriented basketball but, too often, relied on individual plays on the offensive side of the ball. They will look to bounce back on Saturday, January 6 against a talented Class-B foe in Kingswood Oxford. The game will be at Millbrook at 4:30 pm. Thanks to all the Millbrook fans that took the trip across the state-line to cheer the Mustangs on today!
