Millbrook Comeback Fuels Mustang Win

Millbrook earned the season sweep of Berkshire with a gritty come-from-behind effort Monday night.  In a game that saw Millbrook down by as many as eight points with under eight minutes to go, Millbrook used hot shooting by AJ Morales '19 and an aggressive offensive attack from Carter Begel '18 and Kasai Brown '18 to chip away and hold for a 63-56 victory.

In a game that saw Millbrook shoot under 35% from the field, the Mustangs showed the toughness to keep playing hard through moments of real adversity.  Down five with four minutes to go in the first half, Millbrook was able to secure five defensive stops in a row to end the first half, forcing a 31-31 tie at the intermission.  Alas, the Mustangs found themselves in a similar situation late in the second half.  With seven and a half minutes to go in the game, Berkshire had taken an eight-point lead.  Showing great persistence, the Mustangs crept back into the game via defensive stops.  Down by two with four minutes to go, Millbrook closed the game on a sixteen to seven run.

Millbrook is off on Wednesday and will return to action on Saturday on the road against Class B opponent, Canterbury School.  That game will be played at 4:30 pm.
