Mustangs Turnout in NYC
On Monday, December 4, Millbrook's expansive reception room at the Harvard Club was filled with alumni, parents, and friends in one of the best-attended Millbrook receptions in history.
Nearly 300 gathered for conversation, cocktails, and hors d'oeuvres in Midtown Manhattan. This central location was new to Millbrook in 2022, and with ease of access and inclusive policies, we have found a favorite space for our fall reception.
Head of School Jonathan Downs '98 spoke mid-way through the event to welcome those in attendance and share his thoughts on Millbrook's momentum. He also shared gratitude for the continuing support of all who believe in the importance of our mission and the transformational experience of a Millbrook education. Several longtime Millbrook faculty members were also happily circulating among alums and parents, including Bob Anthony '65, Kathy Havard, Gordie MacKenzie '78, and Dr. Alan Tousignant.
For our many alumni and parents who live and work in and around New York City, it was a perfect opportunity to gather with classmates and Millbrook friends and to meet new, friendly faces. The two-hour event flew by, and as many were intent on continuing unfinished conversations, groups that lingered outside the club slowly made their way together to their next destination.
We are already looking forward to next year's New York City Reception!
