Mustangs Start the Season w/ a Scrimmage v Canterbury

The Millbrook Mustangs opened the season with a scrimmage v Canterbury on a sunny April Saturday. Canterbury jumped to an early lead in the top of the 1st inning, but Millbrook narrowed the lead by the bottom of the inning thanks to a homerun from Abby Hylan during her first at bat as a Mustang. The Millbrook offense made good contact throughout the game but was unable to string together enough hits to pull off the victory. 

Shout out to Hylan for her homerun, Aaliyah Almeida for a solid double, and Natalia Danyluk for notching 6 strikeouts in her first pitching outing. Defensively, shout outs to Morgan Reed, Evelynn Najork, and Danielle Singer for some great defensive plays.

We look forward to welcoming Suffield next Wednesday for the official season opener.
