Gordie MacKenzie's impressive coaching career at Millbrook spans 27 years and 8 sports. While he has received many accolades as coach of the boys and girls soccer, boys hockey, and boys and girls squash teams, he has truly shined on the boys lacrosse field.
As coach of Millbrook's boys varsity lacrosse team from 1982-1986, 1988-2001 and in 2005, he racked up many wins, championships, and awards:
- Div II Champs: 2001, 2005; Runner-up: 2000 - USLA Secondary School Coach of the Year (2001) - WNESSLA Div II Coach of the Year (2005) - Record for most career wins - 118
This year, Gordie opted to work closely with new Millbrook faculty member and head coach, Dave Mullen. In his role as assistant boys varsity lacrosse coach, Gordie was recognized for his outstanding contributions to the sport by the Western New England Prep School Lacrosse Association and received the Bevan Dupree WNEPSLA Division 2 Assistant Coach Award.
