Members of the Engineering Club conducted a rocket launch on campus just before the winter recess.
After months of industriousness and a pinch of trial and error, the group finally had lift off near the turf field. Dustin Sloan ’14, John Norfleet ’14, Evan Williams ’14, Felipe Pantle ’13, and Josh Webb ’14, members of the engineering club, constructed and launched the rocket. During Autumn Fest the group also had another successful launch when they tossed pumpkins from a catapult they created. Headmaster Drew Casertano was there to cheer on the colorful, and slightly messy, event.
The group of students spends their free time meeting with the club's faculty advisor, Mr. Dilley, and devising plans for new projects. Stay tuned for updates on their next great endeavor.
