Kyle Marshall ’23 Named Mountain West basketball Freshman of the Week

The latest Mountain West Conference men’s basketball Freshman of the Week is a familiar face to the Millbrook School community: former Mustang Kyle Marshall ’23.

After coming off the bench for the first nine games of the season, Marshall broke into Air Force’s starting lineup on Dec. 7 against Stony Brook. The 6’ 4” guard with a penchant for crowd-pleasing dunks adapted quickly to his new role.

In his next two starts, Marshall shot a molten 71 percent from the field as he averaged 18.0 points per game and picked up his first Freshman of the Week award. His hot week included a career-high 23-point outburst against Northern Colorado and a 13-point performance at Boise State.

Overall, Marshall is putting together a solid freshman season for the Falcons, averaging 6.8 points on 48 percent shooting to go along with 2.5 rebounds.

A native of Oyster Bay, NY, Marshall played on the boys varsity basketball team at Millbrook for the 2022–23 season, winning Most Outstanding Player and earning All-NEPSAC honors. Thanks in part to his stellar play, the Mustangs made it to the NEPSAC Class B semifinals that year.

Marshall transferred to the Air Force Prep School for his final year of high school before joining the Falcons.
