Cheshire Beats Millbrook

The Millbrook Varsity Softball team fell to a talented Cheshire squad in the team's home opener. Cheshire hit the ball well, had some lucky bounces, and took advantage of some Millbrook miscues. The Mustangs hit the ball all game, but right at the Cheshire defense. The bats came alive more in the latter part of the game, including nice hits from Jackie Crowley '20 and Tommi Nash '22 (and an RBI from Carina Mancini '21), but it was not enough to catch up to Cheshire. Mancini struck out five from the mound and had a few nice defensive plays. The Mustangs will host King on Saturday.
