King Tops Mustangs

The Millbrook Varsity Softball team fell to King, 14-4, on a sunny (though muddy) Saturday afternoon. The two teams kept it close in the first few innings, with the score tied 4-4 after three innings. King had a big fourth inning, though, and the Mustangs were not able to mount a comeback. Carina Mancini '21, Morgan Reed '22, Evelynn Najork '22 (with an RBI), and Jackie Crowley '20 each had singles. Daina Velez '21 had her first career hit and RBI, and Piper Strautman '21 had a pair of hits, including a two-RBI single. Mancini threw 11 strikeouts for the afternoon. The Mustangs will travel to Kent on Wednesday.
