Mustangs Down Miss Hall's, 14-4

The Millbrook Varsity Softball team earned a 14-4 win over Miss Hall's in five innings on a beautiful spring day in Millbrook on Wednesday. Several players had big offensive afternoons, including Evelynn Najork '22 and Carina Mancini '21, who each went 3-for-4 with two RBI and four runs scored. Madison Connelly '19 had three RBI on a pair of hits. Jackie Crowley '20, Morgan Reed '22, and Tommi Nash '22 all had hits and scored at least once. Piper Strautman '21 had a two-RBI single in the bottom of the fifth that ended the game. On the defensive side, Crowley made a nice grab at first and Connelly flipped the ball to Mancini, who was covering home, to get a big out at the plate in the top of the fifth. Mancini struck out 12 batters in five innings. The Mustangs have Saturday off before traveling to St. Luke's on Wednesday.
