Millbrook Bats Get Hot but Come Up Short v Cheshire

The Millbrook Mustangs battled back against an early Cheshire lead but came up a bit short. 
 
Millbrook jumped out to a 2-0 early lead in the top of the first inning. Morgan Reed singled and was advanced to second off a beautiful bunt from An Tran. Natalia Danyluk singled Reed home, and Tran scored on a passed ball. Cheshire evened the score in the bottom of the first. 
 
The Cheshire bats lit up in the 2nd inning, allowing Cheshire to gain an 8-2 lead. Good Millbrook pitching and defense held Cheshire the rest of the game. 
 
Millbrook added one run to their total in the 4th inning when Evelynn Najork singled and was advanced to second by Aaliyah Almeida. Danielle Singer batted Najork home, leaving the score 8-3. 
 
Millbrook rallied in the 6th inning. Danyluk got things started with a single. Tommi Nash then got the scoring started with an in  the park home run. Najork and Singer kept the hitting going, with Reed scoring Singer. 
 
Defensive shout outs to Tommi Nash, Morgan Reed, and An Tran for some great defensive plays.  Offensive shout outs to Morgan Reed for 3 hits and Danielle Singer, Evelynn Najork, Natalia Danyluk, and Tommi Nash for 2 hits each.  The Mustangs offense totaled an impressive 13 hits on the day.
