The Millbrook Mustangs earned their 2nd W in two days.
The Mustangs traveled to Holy Child and came out swinging in the first inning. Morgan Reed got things started with a triple and scored on An Tran’s single. Tommi Nash then was hit by a pitch and scored on Natalia Danyluk’s home run. Aaliyah Almeida kept the hitting going with two outs and was scored on a single from Abby Hylan.
The Mustangs continued the scoring in the second inning, with Evelynn Najork rocking a home run after Reed, Nash, and Danyluk reached base on walks.
The Gryphons held the Mustangs in the third inning, but the scoring continued for Millbrook in the 4th inning. Nash got things started with a single and was scored on another Danyluk home run. Najork, Almeida, Hylan, and Reed continued the scoring.
The Millbrook defense stayed tight - only giving up one run in the first inning. Shout out to the defense for staying mentally tough in the final inning - they kept Holy Child from scoring when they had the bases loaded with only one out. Shout out also to Danyluk for 9 strike outs and only 2 hits allowed in 4 innings.
Danyluk and Nash will play again tomorrow as they represent Millbrook at the league all star game!
The Mustangs look forward to taking on Marvelwood on the road Monday.
