Millbrook JV Girls Battle Each Other to a Tie as Parents Cheer them on

The giant girls JV soccer squad split itself into 2 full-sized teams to give visiting parents a realistic glimpse at what they look like during interscholastic games.
On Friday of Parent's Weekend, without the prospect of an interscholastic game for traveling parents to witness, Millbrook Girls JV Soccer was divided into teams to play each other on our cozy little field.  One team donned neon while the other sported all black.  The Neon squad scored first and then went up a second goal before the black team woke up and started to get organized.  But then the black team answered with one goal and then a PK due to a handball in the box.  (Yes, if the ball hits your forearm, that is considered a handball).  Neon scored another goal and it looked as though the game would end with Neon victorious.  However, with 5 minutes left in the game, Black scored the game-tying goal and time ran out before a winning goal was scored.  The girls all emerged elated and demanded that the same teams play each other again.  Stay tuned for the exciting results of our anticipated grudge match scheduled for Friday October 28th.
