Solid Class C Win
Our first Class C match was at home on a nice spring day against Westover. We were challenged on every court but found ways to pull away in most of the matches.
The match of the day was at No. 4 singles, during which Lucy was down 2–5, but battled back with solid, aggressive play. While she fell 6–8, it was a fun match to watch, and Lucy's grit was appreciated.
The doubles all went our way, including an 8–0 win at exhibition. Catherine played a fine match against a really solid opponent to win 8–4. Maggie played a very consistent player but found her way to net to seal the 8–2 win. Ireland was up against a hard hitter but played a solid offensive and defense game, served well, and prevailed 8–3. It was a solid first Class C win.
