Mustangs Start Rivers Tournament Off on a High Note
Millbrook jumped out to a 9-1 run and never looked back, as they cruised to a 65-46 win in the opening round of the Rivers School Holiday tournament. Sheldon Freeman paced the Mustangs with a game high 19 points and 15 rebounds. Seven Millbrook players got in on the act - Tondi Mushandu and Will Rayman both added 11 points. Josh Clarke chipped in 10 points and 6 blocks, while Chris Williams added 9 points. Mike Cronin and Ben Duhoski tallied 2 points each. Sebastien Apollon and Mark Frega both controlled the boards off the bench, while Jeremy Tenenbaum and Zane Acord gave great defensive minutes today. A special note that Jordan Green logged 3 minutes, seeing his first action on the court in 2 years.
The Mustangs move to the semifinals of the Rivers Holiday tournament tomorrow at 5 p.m. against the tournament's host, Rivers School.
