Mustangs Fall Short in Opener

The Varsity Boys Basketball team opened up the season on the road at Masters School (NY) on Saturday in a closely contested battle.  The Mustangs took an early lead in the first half; however, Masters fought back to cut the Millbrook lead to one at halftime. The second half proved to be a thrilling affair as the lead tilted back and forth between the two teams.  Unfortunately, Millbrook's offense sputtered for a two minute stretch in the waning minutes and left the Mustangs two points short at the buzzer.

The game was a great first step for this year's iteration of the Mustangs.  Six new players on the roster take time to become a cohesive unit, and Millbrook showed some great steps towards that chemistry.

Will Rayman led the Mustangs with 22 points.  Alex Beal followed with 13 points. Matty Rudak (7 points), Dave Bottenberg (6 points), Chris Williams (4 points) and Josh Clarke (3 points) all tallied in the scoring column as well.  The Mustangs are now on a Thanksgiving break until December 3rd, when Millbrook hosts Berkshire at 2:30 pm.

Thanks to all the parents and fans that came to Dobbs Ferry yesterday to watch Millbrook play!
