Cushing Talent Proves Too Much in Fast-Paced Affair

In Millbrook's first ever appearance in a Prep Showcase event, the Mustangs saw early on the difference in depth, physicality, pace and talent level between Class B and Class AA.  The Mustangs competed valiantly throughout the first half despite some erratic ball-handling against the swarming Cushing pressure.  Coming out of the halftime break, Millbrook cut into the Cushing lead, making it a 10 point game with eleven minutes to go in the contest.  All said and done, the depth and athleticism of Cushing proved to be too much for the Mustangs, eventually leading to an 80-54 win for the Penguins. 

Millbrook will look to bounce back against an also talented Masters CT team tomorrow morning in game 2 of the Hoop Mountain Prep Showcase.
