In a choppy, back and forth affair, Brunswick's effort on the offensive glass proved to be too much for Millbrook. Millbrook jumped out to an early ten point lead; however, Brunswick switched to a man-to-man defense that stifled the Millbrook attack for much of the first half. In the second half, mental errors and a lack of attention to detail undercut the Mustangs gameplan and proved to give Brunswick too many good scoring opportunities.
Matty Rudak led the Mustangs with 17 points. Will Rayman chipped in 14 while Alex Beal added 11. Josh Clarke and Chris Williams added 8 and 6 respectively. Dave Bottenberg added 3 while Sebastien Apollon tallied a great put back finish late in the second half.
Millbrook will be on the road again Saturday at Class B opponent Pomfret at 4:30. Thanks to all the Millbrook faithful that made the trip to Greenwich!
