Mustang Alumni Meet in College Basketball Showdown

Tuesday’s Liberty League (NCAA DIII) matchup between the Vassar College and Skidmore College men’s basketball teams featured a trio of Millbrook alumni. Charlie Weisberg ’21 and Ethan Madeiros ’23 took the court for the Skidmore Thoroughbreds, while Nathan Denham ’22 suited up for the Vassar Brewers.

Several players and coaches from Millbrook’s current boys varsity basketball squad were on hand for the action, as the Thoroughbreds defeated the Brewers 92–81.

Weisberg scored nine points and Madeiros netted four points and notched two assists to help Skidmore earn its first Liberty League victory of the season. Denham dropped 12 points on 4-of-5 shooting while grabbing four rebounds and racking up four steals for Vassar.

Denham, Weisberg, and Madeiros played together on the 2020–2021 boys varsity basketball team. They’re three of the many Mustangs who've gone on to play college sports.
