Andrew Lymm '20
Policy Officer to Member of Parliament, UK House of Commons
Andrew Lymm is currently a policy officer and policy researcher to a shadow minister in the UK House of Commons with a policy portfolio including Treasury, Business and Trade, Work and Pensions, and Science Innovation and Tech. Simultaneously, he is pursuing an MSc in regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is focused on building on U.S.-U.K. inter-parliamentary relations in the policy areas of security, trade, and economic policy. 
 
Before this, he worked as a scheduling manager and PA to the previous Secretary of State for DEFRA, policy intern to the Gov. Whip for Business and Trade, and paid fellow on the U.S. House Oversight Committee in the U.S. Congress. He has also been a judicial intern for Hon. Andrea Masley at the New York State Supreme Court, focusing on international and domestic commercial dispute matters. 
 
He parsed together his undergraduate degree in political science (with a concentration in international relations) from Elon University, LSE, and University College London.

Academically, he has served as an LSE Grimshaw Society Committee member, an editorial board member for Pi Sigma Alpha National Political Science Journal, the SGA president of his class, and the SGA director for civic engagement. He has lived abroad in the U.K. and in South Korea, and he attended Millbrook School and Indian Mountain School.
