Za’Nyah Bernard ’25 Sets GV Basketball Scoring Record

Last week the Millbrook girls varsity basketball team went on the road to take on Williston Northampton, and Za’Nyah Bernard put on an unprecedented scoring clinic. The VIth form hooper dropped a Millbrook-record 42 points, leading the Mustangs to a 53–26 victory over the Wildcats.
Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach Shayla Zezze summarized what the entire Millbrook community felt following Bernard’s dominant performance:
“We are incredibly proud of Za'Nyah. This incredible achievement is only a piece of all she has given to the Millbrook girls basketball program.”
Bernard’s game against Williston Northampton isn’t an anomaly. She’s been a scoring machine throughout her high school basketball playing days, notching her 1000th career point during a 29-point outburst earlier in the season.
With her legacy as one of the best basketball players ever to grace the Wray Gymnasium securely in place, Bernard will take the next step in her bright future at college in the fall. We’re excited to see what she accomplishes after Millbrook!
